a. What is custom printed apparel?
Personalized clothing with unique designs, images, or text created according to individual preferences or brand identity.
b. What kind of apparel can be customized?
Anything from t-shirts to hoodies and even racerback vests. Check out our "products" page for our full collection.
c. How does the customization process work?
Check out our design your apparel page, this will guide you through the process step-by-step to creating your unique apparel.
2. Design and Artwork
a. What formats do you accept for artwork?
For the best results we recommend the following vector formats (.PDF; .SVG; .SVGZ; .EPS; .CDR). Alternatively you can use high resolution images preferably with a transparent background (.PNG). We also accept high resolution artwork in the following formats (.JPG; .JPEG; .TIF). If you are unsure about the format of your artwork, feel free to email us for assistance - info@mattees.co.za
b. What resolution should the artwork be for optimal printing?
Resolution: 300dpi - 1200dpi. The higher the better.
c. What colour format do you require for optimal printing?
RGB or CMYK colour format.
d. Can I use copyrighted or licensed designs?
In order to use a design you must have the full rights to it. If you are unsure or have any doubts, please confirm your ownership or seek permission from the copyright owner.
e. Do you offer design services?
We most certainly do, feel free to email us with your requirements - info@mattees.co.za.
f. Can I make changes to my design after it has been submitted?
Unfortunately once you have processed and paid for your order, the gears are moving and they cannot be stopped.
3. Order Process
a. Is there a minimum order quantity?
No, if you only need 1 item that's no problem at all. However if your feel your single garment would like a friend, feel free to add as many as you like (stock dependent).
b. How long does it take to process an order?
A minimum of 5 business days (quantity dependent), however during the checkout process there is a rush order” option that takes between 1 - 2 working days (at an additional cost). Please note this does not include the shipping timeframe (scroll down to 6.b for shipping time frames).
c. What payment methods do you accept?
We accept EFTs and debit / credit card payments.
d. Can I cancel or modify my order after it has been placed?
Unfortunately once you have processed and paid for your order, the gears are moving and they cannot be stopped.
4. Printing and Production
a. What printing methods do you use?
We use the state of the art printing method - DTG (direct to garment) printing method. Basically think of how your home printer prints the ink onto the page, same concept, the ink is printed directly into the garment.
b. What type of inks do you use for printing?
DTG printers use aqueous textile inks (water-based chemistry).
c. Can I choose the placement and size of the print?
You certainly can! Well within the limitations of the print area indicated when placing your artwork.
d. Is there a limit to the number of colours I can use in my design?
Man do we have great news for you. No. Full-colour DTG printing allows for full-colour printing with no limitations on the number of colours used. How cool.
e. Do you offer embroidery?
It just gets better, yes we do!
5. Apparel and Sizing
a. Can I order different sizes within a single order?
Of course you can!
b. Do you have a sizing chart available?
We do we indeed. You can find them on the specific product page or on “more product info of the design your apparel page.
c. Can I mix and match different apparel styles within a single order?
Yes, and we encourage it.
d. Can I request samples of different apparel styles before ordering?
Unfortunately not, sorry.
6. Shipping and Delivery
a. How much does shipping cost?
This is all dependent of where you want your order delivered. You get the exact shipping cost during the checkout process.
b. What is the estimated delivery time?
To main areas = +/- 3 working days. To outlying areas = +/- 5 working days.
7. Customer Support
a. How can I contact your customer support team?

b. Do you offer assistance with artwork or design-related questions?
Most certainly, our designers are ready at waiting to assist you (send snacks to increase turnaround time).
